“The very simplicity and nakedness of man’s life in the primitive ages imply this advantage, at least, that they left him still but a sojourner in nature. When he was refreshed with food and sleep, he contemplated his journey again.”  Henry D. Thoreau | Walden or Life in the Woods

7 hours, 16 kilometres, a difference in altitude of 926 m. Five small villages: Artana, Bogli, Suzzi, Pizzonero and Belnome. In the middle of 4 Italian Region: Piemonte, Lombardia, Liguria and Emilia Romagna. It is called Giro del postino (Postman Trail) because in the past it was the trail used by the postman. Nowadays is just a wonderful explotion of third landscape. As Gilles Clement explains it is a terrain classification describing abandoned spaces which are prime areas for accumulating bio-diversity. Because these landscapes are places of indecision, bio-diversity thrives, giving ecological value to these otherwise neglected areas.
