Great discoveries!

I like to see how it is possible to use even the smallest part of textiles. Rags are the last life’s stage of clothing worn for years, that’s the reason because the Italian Rossoscuro Design has combined the rags with a natural animal glue obtaining free-standing lamps where the light pass through the memories of old cotton shirts and tshirts to light present places with their past.

A smart mix of drawing / graphic and reused materials is the project Lampions by the Dutch artist Maartje Van den Noort. They are fabric lamps. She uses vintage fabrics, adding value to them though the illustrations and creating a multi layer project, from the past to the present going to the future.
